Rememberence Sunday and frustrating log ins
I haven’t been unable to log into the blogher website nor my wordpress site for the last couple of days, very frustrating when I am trying to do this NaBloPoMo haha. Anyhow success on my wordpress but the blogher site has defeated me for the time being!
Today is Rememberence Sunday here in the Uk, a time when people of a certain generation take time to reflect on what so many people sacrificed to keep this country free from radical rulers, I give my heartfelt thanks to those families who lost loved ones in the wars.
What a lot of people don’t realise is it wasn’t only death or physical injury that caused loved ones to be lost, but also the mental anguish and scarring of sights seen and things that had to be done in that situation that also lost loved ones. They came back tourtured and changed, sometimes for good. Many a husband and father could not get on with civilian and family life due to the memories that constantly crowded their minds, memories that not even the tightest of hugs and the sweetest of innocent smiles from their children could erase. These families lost and suffered for a lifetime and beyond. Give our thanks today , although they could never replace what they lost, lets hope our appreciation goes a small way in giving a bit of comfort, even for a moment.
I hope we continue to be thankful in the years to come, it is down to us make sure future generations understand and remember
